Hillsboro police

Sept. 15: Police handled a vehicle lock-out, a possible domestic disturbance in a vehicle on U.S. 56, and a report of suspicious activity in which officers found a juvenile removing lost property from a field. Police also took a burglary report in which subjects said someone had entered their residence without authorization.

Sept. 16: Officers handled a report of phone harassment, a minor traffic accident, and concerns about a child’s welfare.

Sept. 17: Police took reports of a disorderly person, a domestic disturbance, and removed a large snapping turtle from the roadway.

Sept. 18: Officers took a report of a power line down in Hillsboro Heights that had been struck by a truck and removed a suspicious vehicle that was abandoned at the airport

Sept. 19: Police handled reports of theft, harassing phone calls, and a large tree branch that had fallen on a person’s vehicle in Memorial Park. Officers also took a report of an individual who had caught a caught a skunk in a live trap.

Sept. 20: Officers addressed issued curfew citations, a child custody complaint, and report of an individual making suspicious phone calls.

Sept. 21: Police took a report of a vagrant, and a delayed theft report.

PEABODY POLICE

Sept. 17: Police took a report of burglary of a residence.

Sept. 18: Police took a report of an attempted burglary of a residence. A report was taken of illegal dumping on private property.

Sept. 20: Police began a “child in need of care” case.
