Hillsboro police

Jan. 12: Officers addressed a child custody dispute, took a report of a suspicious package, and interrupted a verbal confrontation between several juveniles.

Jan. 13: Police took a report of an illegally parked vehicle, assisted with a complaint of a burglary in progress, and took public nuisance complaint.

Jan. 14: Officers took a report of a reckless driver, and conducted a D.A.R.E class at the elementary school.

Jan. 15: Police took an animal welfare complaint, a traffic complaint, and a report of a disorderly person. Police also addressed a report of a stolen cell phone that was later returned.

Thursday: Officers performed a welfare check and attended DUI training.

Friday: Police addressed two separate child custody disputes.

Saturday: Police took a report of a fallen power line.

Jan. 3: Officers responded to an unattended death.

Jan. 4: Officers responded to St. Luke Hospital to assist with a suicidal person sheriff’s officers had brought in. Police issued citations for reckless driving and minor in consumption.

Jan. 6: Police provided traffic control for a railroad crossing malfunction.

Jan. 7: Police assisted Oasis for a disruptive child.

Jan. 8: Officers took a report of a possible child in need of care at Marion Elementary.

Jan. 9: Officers took a report of a vehicle accident at Marion Middle School gym.

Jan. 10: Police responded to Oasis for a disruptive child.

Jan. 11: Police assisted a woman with dementia, and took a report of found property.

Jan. 13: Police responded to a report of criminal damage.

Jan. 14: Police assisted Oasis with two uncontrollable kids.

Thursday: Officers responded to a possible battery case; the victim did not want to press charges. Police responded to an out-of-control person.

PEABODY POLICE

Jan. 13: Police filed an inoperable vehicle case. An investigation was opened into a report of theft of financial cards. Officers assisted Morris County law enforcement.

Thursday: Lena Fisher, Peabody, was arrested on warrants from Halstead and Newton after a traffic stop for no headlight. She also was charged with driving with an expired driver’s license.
