Hillsboro police
Feb. 23: Officers performed a vehicle search with the canine unit. Police also assisted a vehicle containing several women who informed officers that several men traveling on U.S. 56 were stalking them. The women were then escorted by sheriff’s deputies.
Feb. 24: Officers performed two welfare checks, took a dog complaint, and a harassment complaint.
Feb. 25: Police recovered a bicycle, performed two welfare checks, and took a report of suspicious activity. Officers also took a reckless driver complaint.
Feb. 26: Officers addressed a curfew violation in Memorial Park and took a report of fraud that originated in Hillsboro from a person living out of state.
Thursday: Police took a report of a suicidal person.
Friday: Officers took two dog complaints, a parking complaint, and responded to a report of suspicious activity. Police also addressed a property dispute and a report of a domestic disturbance.
Saturday: Police assisted several motorists who had trouble because of snowy weather.
Marion Police
Feb. 14: Police took reports of a theft of prescription pills and domestic violence. Officers assisted sheriff’s deputies in Florence with a loud party and disorderly conduct.
Feb. 15: Officers responded to a verbal disagreement.
Feb. 16: Officers received information in reference to possible poaching and passed the information to Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
Feb. 17: Officers responded to a verbal disturbance and investigated a possible missing person where an elderly woman with dementia had wandered away from her home. She was found OK.
Feb. 19: Officers responded to Oasis for a juvenile out of control, but the student had calmed down by the time the officer’s arrived.
Feb. 21: Officers located a elderly woman with dementia who had wandered off and took her back home.
Feb. 24: Officers responded to an unattended death.
Feb. 26: Police provided traffic control and assisted in an accident on Main and Cedar Sts.
PEABODY POLICE
Feb. 17: Police filed a case of probation violation.
Feb. 18: A report of attempted burglary at a residence was taken.
Feb. 23: Police provided a welfare check on a juvenile for an outside agency.
Feb. 24: Police took a report of theft. Jesus Trinidad-Perez was arrested on a charge of driving with no driver’s license.
Feb. 25: Officers provided an outside assist for sheriff’s department.
Thursday: A report of theft was taken and later determined to be a civil matter. Officers took a criminal trespass complaint.
Friday: Police provided a U.S. Military records check. Police provided a record check for the United States Probation and Pre-Trial Services.
Saturday: Officers took a complaint on a protection from stalking order. The complaint is under investigation.
