Hillsboro

June 15: Officers responded to a report of a juvenile walking with a rifle. The weapon was discovered to be an air rifle. Police responded to a report of an out-of-control child. The child was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

June 16: Officers addressed a non-injury accident in which a person on a bicycle struck a parked car. Police also took a disturbance complaint in which a person was allegedly yelling at a maintenance crew in an apartment building.

June 17: Police also responded to reports of a possible theft of vehicle parts and of a dog off its leash.

June 18: Officers addressed an out-of-control resident that reports said had almost slammed his hand in a door. Police also responded to a report of a suspicious person pushing a shopping cart through Hillsboro Heights.

Thursday: Officers took a report of a cat bite in the 200 block of W. 2nd St., assisted in the transport of a suicidal person, and responded to a report of a suspicious man loitering at an apartment complex. Police told the man to leave and informed him that he would be subject to arrest if he returned.

Friday: Officers took a harassment complaint, addressed a report of several juveniles loitering in front of city hall, and contacted individuals in regards to parking on the grass. Police also assisted in locating a wanted individual.

Saturday: Officers assisted a person whose wheelchair had become non-functional.

Marion police

June 9: Police assisted the Kansas Department of Revenue in the seizure of Cindy’s Café, took a report of a possible rape, and arrested Brantley Pierce of Marion on suspicion of domestic battery and disorderly conduct.

June 10: Officers took a theft report, and arrested Coy Sherrill of Woodbine on suspicion of driving without a license and possession of paraphernalia.

June 11: Officers took a resident to Hillsboro for new living arrangements, and took reports of stolen prescription medication, bicycle theft, and a parking complaint.

June 12: Police responded to an out-of-control juvenile who was arrested. Officers took reports of parking complaints, and open burning. Officers took a report requesting a welfare check on a female, but were unable to locate her. She was later spotted in Florence.

June 13: Officers took a report of a possible hit-and-run.

June 14: Police responded to a domestic disturbance and removed subject from the residence. Officers took reports of possible gun shots, a prowler, and assisted Marion ambulance with a call at the county lake.

June 15: Officers took reports of a suspicious person and a suspicious vehicle, and responded to a two-injury accident.

June 16: Officers took a report of a possible forgery.

June 17: Officers took a report of an ATV being driven on the dike.

Wednesday: During a traffic stop, police arrested Eric Anderson of Pipertone, Minnesota, on suspicion of driving under the influence, transporting an open container of alcohol, fleeing and eluding police, and driving with a suspended license and without proof of insurance. Police investigated a report of child abuse.

Thursday: Police assisted county employees with removing debris from U.S. 256. Police respond to St. Luke Hospital for a reported suicidal subject.

Friday: Police responded to a non-injury accident. Canine officer Legion was deployed during a traffic stop where marijuana and $378 were seized. No arrest record was available in connection with the seizure.

Saturday: Officers took a report of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

PEABODY POLICE

June 16: Police investigated a case of animal cruelty. Charges are pending. Officers assisted with an investigation into identity theft.

June 17: Officers worked a hit-and-run accident. No charges were filed.

Thursday: Officers investigated reported child abuse. Department of Children and Families is assisting with the case.
