Aug 4: Police took a report of possible stolen property, assisted with a disabled vehicle on Main St., took a report of a bolt sticking up on the railroad tracks at Main St. Officers investigated possible inappropriate touching allegations, and received a report of a skunk in Central Park.

Aug. 5: Police took a report of a telephone scam and a skunk in Liberty Park.

Aug. 6: Police took a report of possible road rage.

Aug. 7: Officers took a child in need of care into custody and took a report of a possible identity theft.

Aug. 8: Police took a report of a burglary.

Aug. 9: Police took a report of a burglary, a sick opossum, and a possible break-in.

Aug. 11: Police took a report of a parking complaint, and assisted Hillsboro Police with an aggravated assault case where they arrested a suspect.

Aug. 12: Police took a report of a stolen bicycle. After a brief chase at speeds of excess 90 mph that concluded five miles west of town on K-256, a driver was cited for traveling 53 in a 20 mph zone. Officers looked for a door-to-door salesman and returned a lost cell phone.

Aug. 13: Officers assisted Marion County Jail with a disorderly inmate, located a suspect for McPherson Police and transported him just outside Lehigh where he was handed over to detectives.

Thursday: Police took a report of a reckless driver.

Friday: Police took a parking complaint, assisted Sheriff’s deputies with a possible underage drinking party, assisted Sheriff’s deputies with a report of a person kicking in the front door of a residence. Officers attempted to stop an vehicle for racing down Main St., but the vehicle was traveling too fast to pursue safely. After a traffic stop for speeding police arrested a driver for driving while under the influence and minor in consumption.

Saturday: Police took a report of a reckless driver, responded to a noise complaint, responded to a fight where one was taken into custody.
