Jan. 4: Officers investigated suspicious activity in the 100 block of W. Grand St.
Jan. 5: A possible abuse case and child custody dispute in the 100 block of N. Madison was investigated.
Jan. 6: A theft in the 400 block of N. Ash St. turned out upon investigation to be a civil matter. Seized property was released to its owner.
Jan. 7: An attempted email scam was reported.
Thursday: A pit bull was reported in the 300 block of N. Ash St.
Friday: A reckless driver was reported near the high school, a skunk was spotted in the 400 block of W. Grand St., and police took a report of a missing dog in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St.
Saturday: After a missing vehicle was reported at Tabor College it was later located in another area of the parking lot. Police investigated a property dispute in the 300 block of N. Main St.

Jan. 7: Police investigated a theft at a Peabody residence. A residence with mice and rats was the subject of a health and safety complaint. The issue has been addressed and the city will monitor the problem.
