Rain barrel and compost class offered

Marion County Economic Development and Kansas State University Research and Extension are sponsoring a rain barrel and composter class from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 28 at the Marion County Lake Hall.

Cheri Miller of the Wyandotte County Conservation District will present demonstrations on rain barrel use and composting, as well as information on storm water, watershed, backyard conservation, and native plants.

The $45 cost includes lunch and a rain barrel with a kit. Door prizes will be awarded.
