Robert Fitzmaurice

Robert L. “Rocky” Fitzmaurice, 83, of Lincolnville died Saturday at the Medicalodges in Herington.

He was born Nov. 12, 1929, in Little Rock, Ark., to John and Blanche (Biles) Fitzmaurice. He was a mechanic and farmhand. He married Velma Raye Cannon on May 18, 1948.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma; a son, John; and a sister, Ida Wharton.

He is survived by two sons, Jim and Joe, both of Lincolnville; three daughters, Mary Jane Morrison of Marion, Julie Ann McMillan of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Paula “Rusty” Love of Lincolnville; a sister, Judy Morris of New Mexico; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita. Viewing is to be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
