BURNS:   Ronnie and Patti Gaines enjoy grandparent events

Ronnie and Patti Gaines went to Burlington Jan. 24 to watch granddaughter Brooke Gaines play basketball. On Jan. 25, they went to Wichita and had lunch with Dusty Gaines. The next day, Jan. 26, they attended Grandparents’ Day at Madison Elementary School in Madison with Brooke Gaines.

Lois Sayers and her daughter Sandy went shopping in Wichita on Jan. 24.

Al and Bonnie Plummer spent Jan. 24 and 25 in Nexa, Missouri, visiting Martin and Kayme Volker, Allie, and Abby.

Nathan Koehn was a Sunday dinner guest of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie and Carolee.

The death of Nathan Koehn’s sister-in-law in Galva was announced by her family. The funeral was Jan. 30. Geneva Schmidt’s death and funeral Jan. 25 also were attended by several from the community.

Gene Obee, Mary Langenegger, Joyce Kyle, Daniel and Emily Unruh, Elliott and Emily, and Anna Humig were Jan. 21 supper guests of Glenn and Daytha Langenegger.

Sandy Heyman, Lucille Robinson, Dorene Kirkpatrick, and Joyce Kyle attended the funeral of John Everett in Benton on Jan. 26. He was Marcy Helzer’s father. Marcy is Pastor Jim Helzer’s wife.

Sherol Nightengale was hostess to the 20th Century Club on Jan. 27. Attending were Rhonda Brenzikofer, Dorene Kirkpatrick, Marie Clark, Lois Sayers, and Joyce Kyle.
