Rosalie Smith

Rosalie Ann (Brewer) Smith, 84, of Marion died Friday at Peabody Care Center. She was born May 28, 1929, near Burns to Marion Brewer and Alice Nonken.

She was a homemaker and telephone operator.

She married Vern William Smith on June 12, 1949, at Whitewater Center Church. She is survived by her husband; a son, Stanley William Smith of Emporia; two daughters, Verna Kay Mosiman and Gail Lynn Myer, both of Peabody; a brother, Loyd Brewer of Newton; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Susan Beth Jacobs; a brother, Max Brewer; and a sister, Margret Pope.

Visitation was Sunday at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody. Services were Monday with the Rev. David Ragland officiating. Interment was in Whitewater Center Cemetery, rural Burns.

A memorial fund has been established with the Alzheimer’s Association.
