Seniors hear of African mission

Twenty-six members and friends of the Burns Senior Citizens met Nov. 12 at the Burns Community Center. Pastor Arlen Busenitz asked the blessing and the flag was saluted.
After a potluck dinner, Bob Priest of Marion County Lake presented the program. He told about and showed pictures of his recent mission trip to Africa and some of the work and improvements in the country. Eastmoor United Methodist Church contributed work and donations.
A short business meeting was held with Evelyn Sidener presiding in the absence of President James Olberding. Lucille Robinson’s anniversary was acknowledged, as were Sandi Cunningham and Joyce Kyle’s birthdays.
