Seniors hear program by horse enthusiast

Burns correspondent

Fifteen senior citizens and friends met March 11 for their monthly potluck dinner at the Burns Community Building.

Doni Rogers asked the blessing and the group recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

After a bountiful dinner, Doni Rogers gave the program. She told a story of her experiences with horses. She started riding at a very young age and on March 10, her 79th birthday, she rode her horse again. She shared some pictures.

During the business meeting, members were asked to help find a new president for the organization as James Olberding has resigned.

Lucille Robinson and Beverly Morgan volunteered to present the April program.

It was announced the Marion County Senior Citizens’ board meeting would be held in Burns in August.
