Sorosis Beta Club met at the home of Diane Glaser Oct. 16 with Sharon Pickens as co-hostess. There were 11 members and one guest in attendance.

Pickens gave the devotion, “Autumn Serenade.”

Marion County Health Department Nurse Deidre Serene presented an informative program. She told of the many helpful programs the county offers, such as immunizations, hearing and vision screenings, providing car seats and teaching proper installation to new mothers, and more.

Refreshments were served following the program.

Club members will meet next at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at the home of Pat Henderson. Sherri Gerity will be co-hostess. The program will be provided by Marion County Clerk Tina Spencer.
