Sorosis Beta Club met Thursday at 7 p.m. at the home of Kathryn Ragland. Lou Ann Gray was co-hostess.

Club members Virginia Skinner and Janie Hodges presented a program on the history of Sorosis Beta Club in Peabody from 1924 to the present.

Club books from years ago and photos of members and events were shared. Sorosis Beta is still a community service organization and members continue to donate to and support community projects.

Members enjoyed reminiscing about the early years.

A short business meeting followed the program and refreshments were served.

The final meeting of this club year will be May 21 at Arletta’s in Burns. Members should meet at Peabody Township Library at 5:30 p.m. to car pool to Burns. The meeting will include installation of new officers and a secret pal gift exchange.
