On Feb. 20, 13 Sorosis Beta Club members and one guest met at the home of Lou Ann Gray.

President Marilyn Cox opened the meeting and members repeated the flag salute and the club collect.

Pat Henderson gave the devotional thought on fasting, using a verse from Ezra. Minutes and the treasurer’s reports were given and approved.

Sherri Gerrity reported that Valentines and cookies were taken to residents at Westview Manor.

Linda Wetta presented the program centered on books and reading. She shared how her reading habits have changed as she has aged and recommended some titles that she has recently read. She shared some passages from those books.

Each member named books she had read or was currently reading to answer roll call.

Norma Patton won the door prize.

The next meeting will be held in the home of Marilyn Cox. Members repeated the club pledge to end the meeting.
