Dale and Tootsie Snelling volunteered at the Relay for Life on Saturday. Tootsie was captain of the Burns Pacers. Other participants were Joyce Kyle, Pat and Terry Nystrom, Karen and Sam Saner, Coleen Brunner, Vickie Walker, and Cindy Jackson.

The event was from 6 p.m. to midnight. The group had a meal and enjoyed the entertainment and socializing. Survivors walked the indoor track. There were almost 1,000 luminaries.

Hazel Clothier met Teresa Hill for lunch in Marion on Friday.

Doni Rogers attended a Bible study on Aug. 21 at Mary Langenegger’s at Burns. She and Bernice Odle ate lunch in Cassody on Friday.

Everett and Janet Cress visited Joyce and Eldon Cress at Emporia on Aug. 20. Later that evening, they ate supper with their grandson, Ethan Goodwin. Everett and Janet entertained dinner guests Shawna and David Goodwin of Douglas on Sunday.

Will Soyez was a dinner guest of Bill and Margie Williams on Friday in celebration of his birthday.

Bill and Margie met Gary Williams, Terry Stienbacher, and Carl and Becca Williams Saturday for lunch in Marion. Carl and Becca visited them later in their home. Bill and Margie spent the night with Will and Gayla Soyez in Goddard. The group met again Sunday for breakfast in Florence.
