REPORTED

These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Poplar St. south of 6th St., Peabody

Alyssa C. Eichkorn, 33, Peabody, backed her 2019 GMC Acadia out of her driveway at 6:19 p.m. March 25 and into an unoccupied and legally parked 2008 Chevrolet Silverado owned by Daniel J. Depler of Florence.

Both vehicles remained drivable with damage to its right rear.

Deputy Joshua Meliza’s report, the only report released Friday by the sheriff’s department, blames the accident on inattentive driving, but no tickets were listed as issued.

HILLSBORO

300 block of S. Wilson St.

Tracy A. Brock, 19, Abilene, backed his 1997 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado out of a driveway at 6:30 p.m. March 25, saw an approaching 2007 Buick LaCrosse owned and driven by Lynn G. Hardaway, 80, Hillsboro, and stopped in the roadway.

The passenger’s side of Hardway’s Buick hit the ball hitch of Brock’s pickup, also damaging both sides and the undercarriage of the pickup. Both vehicles remained drivable.

Brock’s passenger, 16-year-old Khloe E. Willis-Dirks of Hillsboro, reported possible injury but was not listed as being taken to a hospital.

Officer David Funk’s report blamed the accident on inattentive driving by Brock and on glare from the setting sun. No tickets were listed as being issued.
