These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Kanza and 220th Rds.

Two drivers may have been injured but were not taken to a hospital after one allegedly failed to yield at 7:56 a.m. April 17, according to one of six accident reports released Friday by the sheriff’s department.

Alex C. Tubb, 16, rural Hillsboro, was ticketed for failing to yield after his westbound 2018 Toyota 4Runner hit a northbound 2011 Chevrolet HHR owned and driven by Jeremy S. Amos, 50, Marion.

Both vehicles ran off the road to the right after sustaining disabling damage and were towed.

The Toyota, owned by Letticia C. Webb of the driver’s rural Hillsboro address, was damaged on its left front, hood, and undercarriage. The Chevy sustained damage to its front third and undercarriage.

Angelina B. Fistler, 18, Peabody, backed her 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe into a legally parked 2019 Ford Fusion at 12:32 p.m. April 19.

Fistler’s Chevy was not damaged, according to deputy Corey Unruh’s report. The Ford, owned by Edward H. Sattler, 83, Peabody, sustained damage characterized as minor to its front.

No tickets were listed as being issued.

Remington Rd. south of 60th Rd.

Rhylee J. Lewandowski, 19, Hillsboro, and passenger Aaron T. Walker, 33, of the same address were listed as possibly injured but not taken to a hospital after Lewandowski lost control of Walker’s 2019 Ram 1500 at 3:40 p.m. April 19 and the truck ran off the road to the right and hit a tree.

Deputy Landis Goodman’s report blames the wreck on Lewandowski driving too fast, but no tickets were listed as being issued.

The report states that the pickup was destroyed with damage to its front half, undercarriage, and windshield.

K-256 east of Timber Rd.

Mark E. Slater, 61, Florence, hit a deer at 2:44 a.m. April 22 with his 2006 Chrysler Town and County then continued into Marion before reporting the wreck to police, according to a report by deputy Peyton Heidebrecht.

A Vyve Broadband truck driven by Richard R. West, 46, Marion, was passing the third vehicle and a truck driven by Carson D. Krause, 17, Derby, when Krause also pulled out to pass, according to deputy Landis Goodman’s report.

The report blames the wreck on inattentive driving by Krause. No tickets were listed as being issued.

Krause’s pickup, owned by Samantha J. Smith of Krause’s address, sustained damage characterized as minor to its passenger side. The Vyve pickup remained drivable with damage characterized as more significant to its driver’s side.
