These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
SHERIFF
K-15 north of 370th Rd.
A Hillsboro school bus carrying 25 girls ages 12 to 14 sustained minor damage to its driver’s side headlight when it hit a deer at 9:27 p.m. April 30, according to one of two accident reports released Friday by the sheriff’s department.
The bus was driven by Edward J. Weber, 64, Hillsboro. Dillon E. Boldt, 23, Hillsboro, was listed as a passenger along with Renli Abernathy, Keys Chaudhari, Kinsley Childers, Brianna Driggers, Tikvah Darles, Kenzington Gann, Chloe Gilkey, Quin Janzen, Ella Johnson, Kesleigh Key, Amelia Koehn, Kyrie Laperie, Paisley Marlar, Zoe Moss, Maddie Olson, Mallory Rader, Candyn Penner, Charlotte Silhan, Ryann Sneed, Leighton Theisen, Collyns Unruh, Korbin Unruh, Keely Weinbrenner, Alana Winter, and Ansley Wichert.
US-50 north of Wagon Wheel Rd.
Layton G. Miller, 35, Spearville, hit a deer at 9:05 p.m. May 1 with his 2008 Ford F-250.
Julie Miller, 34, and 2-year-old Oliver Miller of the same address were passengers.
The pickup remained drivable with damage to its front and hood.
US-77 at 120th Rd.
In a revised accident report released last week, the sheriff’s department confirmed last week’s published report that an error apparently had been made and that a Malibu rear-ended a Silverado rather than the Silverado rear-ending the Malibu in a wreck at 3:55 p.m. April 28.
HILLSBORO
Ash and D Sts.
A southbound 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe and an eastbound 2006 Buick Lucerne turning north collided at 3:26 p.m. May 6 while proceeding from a four-way stop.
Officer David Funk’s report blames the wreck on inattentive driving by Buick owner Aleya K. Ediger, 29, Hillsboro, but no tickets are listed as being issued.
Five-year-old Peter J. Ediger of the same address was a passenger in her car, which remained drivable with damage to its left front.
The Hyundai, driven by John A. Drow, 57, Florence, and owned by passenger Ronda L. Drow, 49, of the same address, also remained drivable with damage to its left front.
Adam T. Drow, 17, of the same address also was in the car.
Casey’s General Store parking lot
Harris R. Ewert, 73, rural Hillsboro, backed his 2022 Chevrolet Equinox at 1:15 p.m. Friday into a legally parked 2020 model of the same vehicle owned by Dylan D. Lindeman, Goessel.
Debra Ewert was a passenger in the moving vehicle, which sustained damage to its right rear. Taylor and Ryland Lindeman were passengers in the parked vehicle, which was damaged on its left fender and door.
