NEW JAILINGS

Eric J. Brooker, 55, Peabody, arrested Friday by a sheriff’s deputy on a warrant alleging violation of probation. Released 13½ hours later after posting a $50,000 bond.

Courage A. Demoss, 24, Newton, jailed Monday for McPherson County. Held in lieu of posting a $500,000 bond.

Dakota L. Dillashaw, 31, Marion, held Feb. 24 for a court appearance. Released from Marion County custody the next morning. Previously jailed 18 times for all or part of 558 days between June 12, 2017, and July 8, 2025. Previous jailings were on court orders six times, for failing to appear in court seven times, for allegedly violating his probation four times, and on suspicion of aggravated battery, domestic battery, criminal damage to property, and violation of an order of protection.

Kevin W. Geren, 64, Marion, arrested Monday by a sheriff’s deputy for failing to appear in court. Released six hours later after posting a $50,000 bond. Previously jailed 15 times for a total of all or part of 88 days between Dec. 18, 2019, and Feb. 13, 2026. Previous jailings were on suspicion of distributing stimulants; attempting to flee or elude police during commission of a felony; making a criminal threat; and possessing stimulants (four times), marijuana (three times), drug paraphernalia (five times), and a hallucinogen (once); and of failing to display evidence of vehicle liability insurance in addition to failing to appear in court (six times), allegedly violating his probation (once), and being jailed on court orders (three times).

Allen D. Gillen, 62, Peabody, arrested Monday by a sheriff’s deputy for failing to appear in court. Released three hours later after posting a $1,000 bond. Previously jailed March 5 and 6, 2025, and Jan. 10 and 11, 2026, both times on suspicion of domestic battery.

Sabrina L. Hessel, 31, Hillsboro, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed seven times for a total of all or part of 13 days between March 21, 2018, and Jan. 31, 2026. Previous jailings were on suspicion of domestic battery, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and driving while her license was canceled, suspended, or revoked; for failing to appear in court; and on court orders three times.

Bryan N. Ho, 40, Lindsborg, held Feb. 24 for McPherson County. Released Monday.

Ovion R. Maples, 34, Wichita, arrested Saturday by a state trooper for failing to appear in court. Released two hours later after posting a $1,000 bond.

Gabriel Martinez, 24, Wichita, arrested Saturday by a state trooper on suspicion of a third offense of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, possession of a firearm while under the influence, failing to use a required anti-driving ignition interlock, and transporting an open container of alcohol. Released Monday after posting a $1,000 bond.
